Christian Gamauf

Christian Gamauf started playing the pipes at the age of 15 and has
since been taught by a wide range of tutors, mainly Bruce Gandy, Iain Macdonald (Glenuig) and Angus Mackenzie. Originally from Austria, he is now based in Uist studying for a BA in Applied Music at the University of the Highlands & Islands. Christian has played with the Juvenile band of the West Lothian pipe band Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia for two seasons, winning the Cowal Championship in 2010 among other prizes.
On Scottish smallpipes and Highland pipes Christian plays in a group with Robbie Greig and Jack McRobbie, two former students from the HNC Music course on Benbecula, with whom he has played gigs both in Scotland and Austria.You can listen to their music here: https://soundcloud.com/piob-gamauf/legless
