Step Dance ClassesStep Dance is a fun, active and social activity for all ages. The classes focus on learning
basic footwork and on building a repertoire of strathspey, jig and reel steps in a relaxed, informal and uncompetitive context. They are designed to give you a knowledge of a variety of steps which you can incorporate into set dances or use as building blocks for your own creativity. Accompanied by live music, the classes give you the opportunity to actively engage with our traditional music through movement. For wee ones, it helps them to learn rhythm and improve their coordination whilst, for adults, it is a gentle way to improve stamina and strengthen muscles. See video below of Sophie teaching at Fèis Gleann Albainn. With Ben Miller on pipes.
